FFIV: The Complete Collection is probably the best rendition of FFIV yet. The graphics have been touched up beautifully, with crisp colours and details. Animations are smooth, and the spells and summons have been given a whole new look. If you've played the FFI or FFII 20th Anniversary editions, you'll know what to expect.
The arranged music is slightly different from the originals, not necessarily better or worse overall, but you have the option of using the original soundtrack if preferred.
All three games seem to use the same game engine, which offers several welcome upgrades and makes the transition between all three stories seem more natural than if they had simply done straight SNES/Wii ports. There is a data-install option to shorten load times, which is always a good idea. During my playthrough I did not experience any bugs, freezing or long loading times. The only minor complaint I have is that the settings get reset between each game, and each tale (in the case of The After Years).
Overall I had a lot of fun playing this game. If you are a fan of classic Final Fantasy and have not played FFIV or its sequel The After Years, I highly recommend getting this game.
