5.0 out of 5 stars IT'S LUCY! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?, April 8 2004
This is truly a classic. It seems funny that Lucy Ricardo has two good friends that look like Ann Sothern. In this show Lucy shares a cruise with her good friend Suzie McNamara, {11/6/57} played by Ann Sothern, and meets her later to be husband Ricky... and meets Fred and Ethel Mertz for the first time. Fred with hair is truly the moment in history that true tv classic lovers dream of. Later, on the the Ann Sothern show, {10/5/59}, Lucy Ricardo visits Katie O'Connor, {played again by Ann}, on "The Ann Sothern Show", one of my favorites. The only thing I'm saying is...when it comes to great fun, true classics, wholesome entertainment, a great feeling of the 50's and 60's television... get this show, watch it again and again...and remember, for those who were lucky to live in those days...remember when tv itself was young and worth watching....

I'm setting here watching this disc set....again. It's beautiful color and sound make it well worth having. This show is my favorite animated series. I grew up with this prime time show that aired from September 30th,1960 on ABC at 8:30 Friday night to September 2nd, 1966. The teem of Hanna-Barbera sure did well with this and numerous other shows. Anyone who grew up in the sixties as I did sure had some great shows to watch, and now they're classics. This DVD set is in a beautiful and colorful package. It's well designed. Another GREAT feature is that they use the original opening and closing for the show. They used this opening for the first two season before going to the all too familiar open and song. This set is a MUST FOR ever house hold. Please buy this DVD set...you won't be unhappy.

I'm a big fan of "The Thin Man" series and this is truly a great movie to have in your DVD collection. This is what being a detective is all about. William Powell and Myrna Loy work so well together you'ld think they really were married. And one of my favorite animals in the world, "Asta". I hope they come out with the other films on DVD soon. "The Thin Man" films are....
"The Thin man" - 1934
"After the Thin Man" - 1936
"Another Thin Man" - 1939
"Shadow of the Thin Man" - 1941
"The Thin Man goes home" - 1944
"Song of the Thin Man" - 1947
This movie, and the others will make you drunk with laughter.

All I can say about this true classic is...MYRNA LOY, what more can you say. She's truly a delight in this film. Take the six Brady kids and add six more and you have a movie that will stand up against time. Thank God for films like this, they don't make em' like this anymore. This classic and the sequal, {also great}
will be in my dvd collection.

2.0 out of 5 stars WHY BUY THIS???, March 5 2004
This review is from: Baretta, Best of (DVD)
I give this two star, ONLY BECAUSE....and I mean this....WHY BUY THIS DVD SET WHEN THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON HAS THESE SAME EPISODES? I give the FIRST SEASON DVD SET about 10 stars, because I love watching Baretta. It brings back some great memories. Truly just "one" of the best shows from the seventies. So any fan of this show would know, why waste the money. I'm not sure why the companies do this. JUST PUT OUT THE OTHER SEASONS. Then we'll be happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars TRULY A TREAT!!!, Feb. 24 2004
This is a super special. It has the warmth of Christmas and for people my age, it has a bunch of memories of the sixties. A delight to watch each year. It aired on NBC back in 1962 at 7:30 - 8:30 on Tuesday night December 18th. This is another classic holiday special that people need in their homes for the holiday. This DVD is a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST CLASSIC FOR CHRISTMAS!!!, Feb. 24 2004
It took a year to put together,- each puppet, "Three Dimensional Object" cost $5.000,- over 100 technicians and craftsmen and a cost of $500.000 and the end result was a masterpiece. This is truly one of the BEST HOLIDAY films going. It's full of charm, love, adventure, and a meaning of friendship that only can come from a show like this. For me the memories come flooding back. I can remember the first time I saw this classic back in 1964, it was on "General Electric Fantasy Hour" at 5:30 to 6:30 on Sunday night on NBC. I remember running up to my room to watch it on my little black and white television. I never miss it. This DVD is a must for every home. The holidays just won't be the same without it.
Air dates for the 60's are as follows:
12/6/64 Sunday, 5:30 - 6:30 NBC
12/5/65 Sunday, 5:30 - 6:30 NBC

5.0 out of 5 stars AN 80's TREASURE!, Feb. 14 2004
This review is from: GRANDS SUCCES (FRN) (Audio CD)
This is a super CD. All the songs bring back great memories of the discos I went to back in the 80's. It has one of my favorite songs that packed the floors everytime it played, "Feels like I'm in love", I like the US mix of this song better than the 90's mix. which is also on this CD. The only thing I'm not too happy with is my other favorite song which is "New York at night", this CD's version is ONLY 3:36 long, I wish it was the longer version which is almost 5 min. This CD is a must for dance music lovers.
