3.0 out of 5 stars Good, except for charge cable, Sept. 15 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Shaves closely and comfortably, if a bit louder than my old rotary shaver (though not unreasonably so).

I have a major beef with the power cord, however - it doesn't fit tightly into the slot at all, and falls out if I move the shaver the least bit. Though the manual suggests that you can shave with the cord plugged in, it certainly wouldn't be possible with the shaver they shipped me, at least not without doing some sort of awkward two-handed thing to hold the cord in place; I'm considering wrapping the head of the cord in electrical tape for a tighter fit.

4.0 out of 5 stars but this case seems sturdy, the hinge seems resilient, Dec 9 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This works; I haven't seen the official HTC one, but this case seems sturdy, the hinge seems resilient, and the cover folds back all the way. There was a tiny chip in one of the corner bumpers, but it doesn't affect the functionality in any noticeable way.

Cinder: Book One of the Lunar Chronicles

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge a book by its cover, March 6 2012
I picked this up in spite of the cover and blurb (which are far too Twilight, mooning over the handsome prince for my taste) because it had gotten good reviews on Tor.com, and I needed something to read on the plane - it was well worth it, there's a solid sci-fi tale in here, with interesting, well-rounded characters, and far less mooning over the charming prince than I would have expected. I'd recommend it highly, this isn't just your kid sister's sci-fi.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Stephenson, Sept. 24 2011
This review is from: Reamde: A Novel (Hardcover)
This is a decent (if long) page-turner, but lacking in both cool uses of advanced tech and Stephenson's usual long diversions on subjects philosophical/technological/etc, and leaving a rather bog-standard story about terrorists that has a surplus of "just so" coincidences and abandoned story subarcs. Not the author's best work.
