This novel is a great idea that was complicated by it's execution. There are multiple letters to different characters over many pages. Complex language dilutes the clarity of the concept. It is written in British style, North Americans might have trouble with certain references.
As one of the most intriguing iconic figures of the Golden Era, Marilyn Monroe is timeless. This book- suggested to be written by MM herself, is short and sweet, with a romantic feeling throughout. The language is simple and clear, filled with details of her early life and hints at the reasons for her well documented eccentricities. I enjoyed it.
