5.0 out of 5 stars must see movie, Dec 19 2012
This review is from: Passchendaele [Import] (DVD)
Paul Ross was able to bring this unfortunatly, unknown part of Canadian history to life in this romantic and historical movie. It'a a great movie. I enjoy the fact that it took place both on the Canadian and European soil. By this it present the reality of what was happening in both place.

This book was just great. the book was put together by the son of a Canadian Field doctor. Explaining thre events and what his father wrote about it in his war diary. This was all put together just nicely. This book is full of personnal accounts and reality on the field. Which gives the book all it's interest. As a history buff I realy just adored it

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The subject matter of the book is great but the author should have included the Huskey Operation. Many G.I.(Americans), Tommies(British), D-Day Dogers(Canadians), Australian, Indians, Polish and many more died to liberate this Italian island. The success of this operation open the door to the following ones in the Italian Campaign.
It was nice that the author aknowledge that other nation beside the Americans and British participated in the Italian Campaign.
The Author should of elaborated more on the importance of the Huskey Operation. Once in the Italian Campaign, there should of been more information about the conflict itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Seasons, Jan 24 2012
This review is from: American Dad: Volume 4 (DVD)
This season is among the best. For any American dad fan this season is a must
The shows this season allows us to discover Stan's past from his dreams, his relation with his mother, his nenemis.
But the best show is the James Bond parody. It keeps the general idea of the James Bond movies and to add Roger as the vilan and Stan as the agent was genius.
Francine's and Hayley's past love life resurface.
Steve fights for his lady's honour and has to find time for his friend. Will hitting puperty allow him to loose his verginity?

This book is a master piece. For every history freak who have interest in Canada during WWII should get their hand on this book. This book goes throughout the chronology of the campaign. It come's alive with the comment of those who were there. No historian could explain what happen better then the veterans. We have insight directly from them about the hidden mishabs of the allied army. The enficiency of the canadian army put to the test. We learn that it was the Canadian army that should have walked on Rome. Which didn't happen for political reason since it was the first European capital to be liberated by the allies. This book, with the thoughts and experience of the veterans, explain this forgotten Canadian military achievement. Wonderful book that I recommend to all that want to discover this forgotten Huskey operation that cost the lives of 6000 of our young men lives.

4.0 out of 5 stars interesting, Jun 21 2008
The book is very interesting. It's the story of the devil himself and how he contribute on building the 3rd Reich. I discovered through this book the not well known but important character that contributed a great deal to the 3rd Reich. It's facinating to discover how this man work, thought and proceeded. It's one of the best book I read on Heydrich.
