3.0 out of 5 stars Classic Deck, Jan. 13 2010
The Universal Waite deck is a classic tarot deck and as such, every tarot practitioner should have it on hand, if not to use than to refer to. That being said, I have difficulty connecting with this particular deck. We just don't mesh :)!

However, I am glad to have it as part of my tarot collection because it is still a well-done deck and many card interpretations stem from the symbolism illustrated in these cards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome deck!, Jan. 13 2010

This deck is beautifully made. The images resonate with me and the booklet included with the deck outlines the connection between culture surviving and flourishing under slavery, Santeria and the tarot. I feel an instant connection with the cards and look forward to using them!

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed It but Was Lost at Times, Dec 11 2009
I enjoyed the book for its plot and for charmingly evil way the Devil was portrayed. However, the book was also a series of digressions that were distracting and irritating. I also felt that the book ran out of steam in the end. Overall, a good but evidently flawed book.
