5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Masterpiece, May 18 2010
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mass Effect 2 (Video Game)
Absolutely a masterpiece of a game in terms of story. You don't need to play ME1 first but it is a lot better if you have played it before so you are better immersed into the story of ME2. The choices you made in ME1 (provided you have finished ME1) will come back in ME2.

ME2's story isn't as good as the ME1 but it could be building up for the final chapter in this masterful trilogy of a game (ME2 constantly reminds you to save your finished saved game for ME3)

AI's improved over ME1 and the micro-management of weapons is gone from ME1 (and it's a good thing).

Gameplay has improved drastically over ME1 as well, it's one of those gears of war cover based 3rd person. The cover based shooting aspect isn't as good as Gears of War but the ability of controls the powers of your 2 party members (you can pick from a bunch of them - each of them has different abilities) more than make up for it in terms of strategy. Shooting stuff up will only get you so far but with the right party members and the appropriate power selections, the harder enemy will go down quicker than just shooting them all the time.

Graphics on ME1 was quite good but this one absolutely blows that away. Amazing cinematics, amazing game play graphics (which is why I don't understand why Dragon's Age graphics was so bad - it's by the same company!!!)

Must play for xbox360 and rpg fans. If you like Gears of War type shooter games but with a waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better depth and story, this is a must buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Full Experience, April 28 2009
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fallout 3 (Video Game)
Fallout 3 is a very massive game. Bought this game a month ago and 80 hours later (and I tried to find time to play everyday), I finished pretty much all the main mission quest and the side missions. Now I just started my second time through the story with a female character who's going to be a complete jerk.

If you have never played a fallout game before (this is the 3rd one in case the "3" in the title didn't give it away), don't let it stop you. This is my first experience with the Fallout series and I gotta say that it has me hooked and I am looking forward to getting the "Broken Steel" DLC on the X360 that's supposed to be released sometime in May 2009 (and I normally do not buy DLCs) and the big Fallout:New Vegas release next year.

This game also made me curious on how big the Fallout universe is and it's pretty darn interesting that's for sure (google for "Fallout wiki" if you want to know more).

WOW pretty much sums up my experience for this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun game - awesome graphics - but a bit too easy, Jan 15 2008
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

One of the most beautifully created game ever. The movements of Altair (the main character) is greatly "captured" and translated in the gameplay. Scenery and the presentation of the scenery is awesome.

The side quests are repetitive but hey, it's the most FUN i have had playing a game in awhile (it's not a grind to play this game). I actually had to restraint myself from getting into fights unnecessarily and assassinating people around me.

The game is a little bit too easy once you've master certain skills.

Minor petpeeve i had. The dude can jump off a 500 ft tall tower, jump around roof tops and doesn't die. But he drowns every time he falls into the water... must be the knives weighing him down.

Beat the game, sold the game, but probably will buy it back when it is $20 used or something.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good buy if you enjoy titles like KOTOR, Jan 15 2008
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

A little buggy but can probably live with it. Epic storyline and very very deep game.

Combat system is a little like Gears of War but remember this is an RPG so you have to be prepared for a lot of dialogues (most are skippable)

Weapon mods are a pain in the butt to manage but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad.

A must have for those of you whose played and enjoyed KOTOR!

2.0 out of 5 stars Overrated and Overhyped, Aug 3 2007
Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
First 2 weeks was fun.. novelty wore thin very fast due the lack of interesting games (haven't you played those games 10x before on SNES, GC, GBA, NDS and N64 before? Ooooo, it's errr.. Mario..again..).

Replay value of some of the games are minimal.. and Nintendo still charges you a premium price for the games that they had on the GC before (except RE4 - which is so far the only replayable game on the Wii IMHO). Virtual Console games are ok priced but they fail to upgrade the graphics (all i want is just a wee little bit of graphics upgrade - smooth out the edges a little).

Spends more time playing X360 and games I bought awhile back (Viva Pinata, Gears of War) At least with Xbox Live Arcade, the games cost pretty much the same as Virtual Console games ($10) but at least they are new games and the graphics are actually upgraded for some older games (i.e. Double Dragon, bombermen).
