One of their best for a true fan, Sep 9 2009
I see there are a lot of reviews of this album/CD so I won't bother with the details and nitty gritty. I'm sure it's been done and well described within many of the reviews already published. I just wanted to add my opinion on one of my all time favs. I own all of The Beatles' released recordings and this one is one of my top favorites. Any time I get a craving to go on a great Beatles journey this is the one that I pull off of the shelf. I'd say the "second side" is my favorite though since now we are reviewing a CD there is no side B, I'd be referring to the vinyl version of years past. If you have always loved the Beatles hits and are looking to dig into the best stuff, definitely pick this one up. If you are open to hear more than just the basic early hits, this is the one!! I love love love this CD.

Great for beginners and beyond, Sep 9 2009
My husband bought this DVD for me because I was interested in trying Tai Chi. This is not my first instructional exercise DVD, but it is my first exposure to Tai Chi instruction of any kind. I find the instructor's method of teaching on this DVD to be very thorough and clear for a beginner like myself. I have been doing this DVD now every day for two weeks, and I find it very easy to be inspired to do it each day. My balance is improving a little even in just this short two weeks that I have been doing it. The movements on this DVD require no awkward twists of the body and so I think it can be done by people of all ranges of ages and abilities. The movements performed are slow and steady ones. What you will find on this DVD is a few short chapters explaining the benefits of Tai Chi and a short explanation on how to use the DVD sections. There is then a section that introduces each movement slowly with the instructor along with verbal explanations of each movement and how your body is to be positioned. Immediately following each section, you'll practice what you have learned, and then you can select the next set of movements. Each set of movements is easily selectable by the chapter menu. Once you have spent some time learning each movement and feel you do not need the verbal prompts, the DVD has another section where you can choose to do the movements without the verbal instruction which is a really nice feature! There is yet another section which has no speaking as well and has all of the movements together shown from the front view (face to face with instructor), and another replay with the view of the instructor's back (as if you were standing behind her). These non verbal selections have a very calming instrumental music accompanying them. I am really pleased with this program and would recommend this DVD and instructor for anyone interested in learning Tai Chi.

I couldn't put it down, Feb 22 2009
This was my first Lynda Barry book. I loved the cover of the book - the art style caught my attention. I read the reviews and decided to buy it on a whim, really. When I received this book, along with some others I'd ordered at the same time, I picked it up and flipped through it. I started reading the first page and I was hooked. I read this book in one day and although this is not impossible (as it's a comic style book with less text), I have not read a whole book in one day in many years. This book had me hooked from the beginning. I was laughing all the way through, and I loved the drawings as well. I am very pleased with this book and I have no doubt you'll love it!

A feel-good movie, with time travel, Dec 13 2007
What else could I ask for? A "chick flick" AND time travel, all in one package. I loved this movie, and have watched it a few times. If you love time travel/romance films, I would recommend this one. It's a sweet story.

Painfully horrible, Dec 13 2007
I rented this one from the video store. I'm a time travel movie lover and this one was one I couldn't even manage to finish. I really tried to stick it out but it was just so horrible. Save your money!! The opening sequence was about 10 mins, just of the main character driving on a motorcyle through the desert, over and over, and over some more. The rest of the movie was just as bad... well, until I decided I couldn't take it anymore, that is.

Basic but it gets you started, Dec 15 2005
I'm not one for elaborate or page-by-page reviews, but I wanted to comment on this book. It is well designed, well laid out, and it is worth the '5 bucks'. However, I wanted to comment that it is VERY basic. It gets you started on the features of how to use this camera, but if you are looking for the nitty gritty on how to really get the most out of this camera, I would suggest a more elaborate book. This one just details where to find the features you need to get started, take a photo and a basic run down of what the buttons do. It will explain that you need a memory card and that the photos are stored on it, and that the camera requires batteries, and where they are stored in the camera. I would not have called this book "Learn the Canon EOS Digital Rebel Camera for 5 bucks". Instead, I would re-name the book "The Quick-start guide to the Canon EOS Digital Rebel". The pluses of this book is that it is small in size, so it is convenient to carry around with your camera bag. That would make it a good carry-along book as a reference guide for a beginner with the camera.
