Have You Read the Best Books Ever Written?

From their library of over 3,000 literary classics, Penguin Canada has chosen 52 as the best books ever written--and they're challenging Canadians to read one a week in 2008.

Their inaugural selection, The Fifth Business by Robertson Davies, is a fascinating, absorbing classic of Canadian literature. Readers can look forward to works by Russian masters Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy, along with the lesser-known Mikhail Bulgakov, and seminal works by Miguel Cervantes and James Joyce praised by many but read by few.

Each week's pick is revealed on Saturday in The Globe and Mail and here at http://www.amazon.ca/bestbookseverwritten, so bookmark this page and visit often. Whatever your taste or convictions, whether you agree or disagree, these are works to enjoy and discuss.
