Will buying from Amazon.ca using local currency make my purchase less expensive?
When you buy in Canadian Dollars (CAD) at Amazon.ca in a different currency other than Canadian Dollars (CAD) (for example, a Euro-denominated card), the payment is converted from CAD to your local currency by your bank or credit card company. In addition to the exchange rate, you may be charged foreign conversion charges and fees, which may increase the overall cost of your purchase.
With Amazon Currency Converter, your payment total will be displayed in your local currency on your order summary page so you know how much you are paying before you pay. You may also pay less in your local currency using Amazon Currency Converter.

To pay for your order in Canadian Dollars (CAD), click the "Switch Currency" button and choose the "CAD" option. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you. Why doesn't the exchange rate used by the Amazon Currency Converter match the one that I see in newspapers or other websites?
This exchange rate Amazon displays may not match those listed in newspapers or other financial databases. Those exchange rates are generally inter-bank rates that are for wholesale amounts and are not available for retail consumers. Amazon is consistently working hard to ensure that we receive a competitive exchange rate from our bank service provider to offer payment. The exchange rates used for Amazon Currency Converter are generally updated daily.
