Residents of Quebec

Residents of Quebec aren't eligible for a free trial of Amazon Prime. However, those who sign up for a 13-month membership will receive the first month at no charge. This offer is only available to new Amazon Prime members with residency in Quebec. Customers who have had a 12-month membership in the past will receive the regular annual membership. Residency is determined by your billing address at the time you sign up.

You will enjoy the same benefits in your free month as in your annual membership. Visit the Manage Prime Membership page to change your automatic upgrade setting and change 1-Click ordering settings.

You'll need a current, valid card to sign up. Your credit card will not be charged until your free month has completed, and you may cancel at any time. Your membership will end after the initial term unless you choose to renew it.

Signing Up for a Free Trial (Non-Quebec Residents)

If you haven't been an Amazon Prime member in the last 12 months, you can sign up for a free trial. Visit the Amazon Prime Free Trial page to start a free trial now, or look for free trial offers on product pages and during checkout.

You'll need a current, valid card to sign up. While you won't be charged for your free trial, having your card on file will allow us to automatically upgrade you to a paid membership plan at the end of the trial period. (See below.)

Free Trial Benefits

Free-trial members enjoy all the same benefits as paid members. Visit the Manage Prime Membership page to change your automatic upgrade setting and change 1-Click ordering settings.

Upgrading From a Free Trial to a Paid Membership

At the end of your free trial period, you'll be automatically upgraded to a paid annual membership for CDN$ 79. When we upgrade your membership, we use the card you gave us when you signed up. If we cannot successfully charge this card, we will use another payment method on your account. If you don't want to upgrade to a paid membership, you can opt out at any time during the free trial period via the Manage Prime Membership page.

Canceling a Free Trial

Go to the Manage Prime Membership page and click "Do not upgrade." You'll continue to enjoy your Amazon Prime benefits until your free trial period is over. Then your membership will automatically cancel. Your card will not be charged.

If you decide later in the free trial to continue your Prime membership, you can change this setting back to "Upgrade automatically."
