About E-mail Verification for New Accounts
We may ask that you verify ownership of your e-mail address before creating a new account.
Important: If you think you may have an account already, it's always best to use your existing account. You can select “Forgot Your Password?” on the sign-in screen to regain access if you’re having trouble signing in. If you create a new account with an e-mail that's already associated to an Amazon account, the existing account(s) will be disabled. Once disabled, the existing account(s) won't be able to access order history, Gift Cards, digital purchases, Kindle books or any other data.
If you do wish to create a new account using an e-mail that’s already associated to an Amazon account, you’ll need to verify that you can access that e-mail address.
To verify your e-mail address when creating a new Amazon.ca account:
Click the link in the verification e-mail that's automatically sent after attempting to create the new account.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If you didn't receive our verification e-mail:
Confirm that your e-mail address was entered correctly (for example, with the correct domain name and no spaces).
Check your spam or junk e-mail folder.
