Closing Your Account

After your account is closed, it is no longer accessible by you or anyone else.

If you ever want to order from us again or take advantage of any other features of our store that require a password, you will need to start a new account. If you want to change the e-mail address associated with your account or remove a credit card from your list of payment options on the order form, you can do this online without having to close your account.

Changing your e-mail address:

  1. Click the Your Account button at the top of most pages of our store.
  2. Click the "Change your name, e-mail address, or password" link under Account Settings.
  3. Sign in using the e-mail address and password currently associated with your account.
  4. Provide your new e-mail address, and click the "Submit changes" button when you are finished.

Removing a credit card:

  1. Click the Your Account button at the top of most pages of our store.
  2. Click the "Edit or delete a credit card" link under Payment Settings.
  3. Sign in using the e-mail address and password currently associated with your account.
  4. Click the Delete button next to the card you want to remove, then click the yellow Confirm button on the next page.

Still want us to close your Amazon.ca account? First, visit the Your Account page to cancel any outstanding orders associated with the account. After you have done so, please contact us to request that your account be closed. Please be sure to send your request from the e-mail address associated with the account you would like to close, so we can verify your identity.
