This book is fun and light, but it grated on me. Now I qualify as "quirkygrumpy."

In a cross between "The Hipster Handbook," Mary Claire, and an eigth-grade art project, Sascha Cagen attempts to introduce a new "type" called the "quirkyalone," although there are "quirkytogethers" as well.

It's not new at all--she describes the type of self-absorbed Bohemian Yuppies who've been flocking to San Francisco and Brooklyn for the last decade.
