These are not the creme de la creme bamboo knitting needles. They are however exceptional quality for the price. All the needles have the size branded on them so you don't need to use a needle gauge to know what you've got. They have pretty consistent points, they aren't any obviously sharper or blunter within each size. I bought a second set so I could knit with 5 needles or knit a pair of sock or mitts at the same time. These are well worth the money and are an excellent starter set for those wanting to get into working with double pointed needles. I find they are far easier to use than metal needles. These did take a few weeks to arrive.
I really appreciate that there are gorgeous flowers for each level of knitting skill. I'm an experienced beginner, I would not tackle the more challenging project,but; there are plenty that I can do comfortably. The instructions are clear and concise, the techniques are really well demonstrated and the resulting flowers are breathtaking.
While I do knit, this book doesn't match my current style. My mother however, snagged the book and absolutely adores it. This knitting technique uses smaller sections of knitting to create a patchwork like garments. She likes the smaller segments that fit well into shorter knitting sessions. There are some really modern beautiful sweaters as well as some with traditional quilt patterns. There has also been some effort to show different colorways and different yarn choices.
