I read this book in two days and found it quite enjoyable. It's another view of the south and the struggles during the '60's from a part of society that we don't often hear about.

I ordered this book for a group of friends who get together to paint each week. It was a hit from the beginning. The flowers are stunning to say the least. Two of the ladies have done the paintings in oils as well. If you like to paint flowers you will love this book.

I enjoyed this book very much even though I was quite skeptical at the beginning, from what I'd heard. The author draws you in and you can't put it down. The next thing I knew I had read all three in the series. It can be a little graphic at times but just keep reading. Love the main character 'Salander'!
