Great 80's movie! But was this DVD made politically correct?, Jun 13 2004

I have always LOVED this movie.Bought it right away when it came out on dvd.But was very disapointed with the final product.
Too many scenes were left out. One in particular is the one where Stacy(Jennifer Jason Leigh) gets the abortion,why skip over that. During that time that was a ballsy thing to put in a movie!
Hopefully this SE Fast Times will be much better!

Best Mini-series since "Lonesome Dove"!, May 18 2003

Of course they are both two diffrent series,but it has been that long since I have been so invested in a tv mini-series.You can't go wrong with anything that Steven Spielberg does. I was sucked into the plot from the very begining.Loved how the story surrounds three families and follows into the present.
The most fun I had was catching familer faces from "X-Files" episodes,quizzing myself from which episode and character name from the XF!
Great "new" talent! Totally loved the little girl Allie(Dakota Fanning) such an amazing young Talent!
A Must have for any sci-fi fan or UFO believer!

Although,the critics did not like this movie,that just proves that not all xritics should speak for the movie going public!
I really loved this film.Great personal political film without making it seem so boringly political.Kevin Spacey is wonderful as a brillent UT professor who is an advocate for saving death penelty inmates from well...death.His partner in crime is a wonderful Laura Linney who is more passionate in her goal to abolish the death penelty.Kevin Spacey finds himself accused of Rape and Murder and with 3 days left to live.Kate Winslet is the reporter that gets sucked into his story.Kate Winslet is by far the best asset to the film.It is wonderful to see her just use her… Read more
