Tusk ~ Fleetwood Mac
Tusk ~ Fleetwood Mac
Let's set the scene: It's 1979. 2 years ago, Fleetwood Mac had released "Rumours." A riveting musical soap opera, it topped the charts for 31 weeks, sold 12 million copies at the time (19 million to date) and launched 4 MONSTER hit singles. The group (actually, it was probably more just Lindsey Buckingham) decided to do a complete 180. The result was "Tusk." This album probably had more hype surrounding it when it came out than any other album ever made at that point. It debuted strongly, but only peaked at #4. Feast on Scraps ~ Alanis Morissette
I place the CD in my CD Player. I understand that the songs on this album are the ones that didn't make Under Rug Swept. I'm greeted with Fear Of Bliss. After listening to the CD, I don't break the momentum and I immediately… Read more

"No, but I LOVED her last album."

With this dialogue exchange from Panic Room, I was first introduced to the singer Poe. When looking for her online a few days ago, I saw THIS and assumed it was the album in question. So, I bought it after hearing some sample tracks.
After listening to this album, I can say this: had it been her debut, it would have gotten more praise than it already has, and it could have made her a superstar. That's how good it is. But no, it peaked at #115 in a year of N'Sync, Britney Spears and The Backstreet Boys. This could have launched a musical revolution with it's eerie concept, it's swirling music, and the… Read more
