I usually use a full size blender a lot because I am a caregiver for a person that requires a mechanically altered diet, due to swallowing difficulties. My blender bowl was always in the dishwasher when I needed it. The Cuisinart is much easier to clean than a regular blender and the extra plastic cups wash nicely in the dishwasher. The cups are perfect for fruit smoothies, chopping a single serving of meat and chopping single ingredients small enough to add to recipes. (e.g.vegetables and ham to a western sandwich).
