I agree with the reviewer below me. Do not take just one person's opinion on this release.
Although this CD strays away from much of Bjork's past upbeat and radio friendly songs - it in itself is a masterpiece of sound. This CD is made up of purely vocals, so If you are looking for a poppy CD to dance to, this is NOT it. This album does however explore sound and harmony to the fullest, it is innovative and truely a piece of art.
As much I enjoy the energy of songs like "Big Time Sensuality", I rate this album above all others I've heard from her for it's sound, talent and originality.
As a huge Mike Patton fan (faith no more, mr. bungle, fantomas), I eagerly anticipated this album's release - and it surpassed my expectations.
This album is no mystery within the divided small pockets of devote Patton fans - if you mention General Patton, everyone knows exactly who and what you are talking about. Likewise, within the not-so-underground hip-hop community, the name X-Ecutioners leaves ever turn-table conasuir salivating.
The combination of these two underground giants has created an amazing album transcending every pre-conceived notion you may have about either of these artists.
