Good book, but the book is in really bad shape, not physically, but it stinks like mold!!

I would not recommend buying from this vendor.

I agree with some of the other less enamoured readers of this much anticipated book - it just left me thinking "I must have missed something".
The book seemed chaotic with no sense of story-line; it was boring at times with no redemptive action. The characters were flat, the language more believeable.
I really tried to like this book, but alas, it fell completely flat in almost all respects.

Colour colour colour in the first one half of the book, then from page 83 onward, there are no colour photos of the techniques and planning stages! Just when you need them the most to differentiate between very similar fabric patterns.
The code quilts are very interesting in that text is arranged as pattern ( in many different languages) opening some intriguing rabbit trails of discovery! As an abstract pattern "code quilts" could be fun and mysterious at the same time!
This book is inspirational to those of a textile/abstract bent however, anyone accustomed to lushly illustrated "quilting" books will be disappointed in this one; the photos are small with the story/narrative… Read more
