Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided by Lucas Arts Entertainment
Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided by Lucas Arts Entertainment
Star Wars and MMORPGs are two things that I love. I've played almost every MMORPG that has been released over the years, and i'm certainly up on my SW Expanded Universe knowledge.

SWGalaxies is great in that it closely follows the Star Wars Universe as it has been established by the movies, books, and comics. Great effort and detail was taken to make this game as accurate as possible, adding in massive amounts of detail and accounting for all Expanded Universe information. The graphics are also sharp, and several game elements were very well executed. 5.0 out of 5 stars A solid product, Mar 12 2003
I loved this adventure. It's well written, original, and manages to capture that Star Wars feel we all know and love. The side bars dealing with potential outcomes for the characters actions, and suggestions on how to motivate them during the game were extremely well done.

While the NPC stats were created for the first d20 Star Wars product, I had no difficulty performing quick conversions. It's still d20, and so most of the skills and abilities presented need no conversion at all. Those that do can quickly be converted by a knowledgable GM. If you're looking for an interesting published adventure to weave into your campaign, then this is definetly for you.

As you may have discovered from reading the reviews here, we have established that a DVD is, infact, not a book.

This has the flavor of Dune. This is not a *perfect* translation of the book. That isn't possible. If you want to see a perfect book translation then this isn't it. I don't think SciFi actually wanted to copy the book into movie form.

This is, however, extremely good. The special effects, the costuming, the FEEL of the movie is awesome. The DVD incurs such wrath by die hard fans of the book because there are little "flaws". If you haven't read the book, you'll love it. If you've read the book, and understand that book -> movie conversions are far from… Read more
