Favourite magazines include Scientific American, The Economist, and National Geographic. Longtime enthusiast of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Some consider me a 'philosopher' because I'm a quiet thinker. Like to travel when I get the chance; I've seen most of Canada, some of the U.S., and a bit of India. Married.

I must confess that I tend towards the more conservative end of the political spectrum, so you might think that I wouldn't be a big fan of someone like Paul Krugman. However, Krugman is a first-class intellect when it comes to matters of economics, and it is quite evident when you read his books, including this one. While I don't necessarily agree with all of his prescriptions for the recent economic meltdown, he makes some keen observations that others seem to have missed, and he levels some scathing criticisms of those in positions of power during the Bush years in their handling of the crisis and in their failure to regulate those sectors of the financial industry that were… Read more

FDR knew in advance about the Pearl Harbor attack. Alger Hiss was innocent. 9/11 was an inside job and a hoax. Truman was wrong to order the atomic bombing of Japan. Nixon ordered the Watergate break-in. Clinton was impeached for lying about sex. Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation only because the Union Army needed more troops. If you want just one good source on all things PC hardware-related, get this book. Whether it's regarding processors, motherboards, RAM, drives, multimedia expansion cards, or peripherals, you will probably find answers to your questions in Scott Mueller's book. It is of course a big book, but it is well worth it for those who want a well-written comprehensive reference source.
