Third Day ~ Third Day
Third Day ~ Third Day
Third Day's self-titled debut remains one of Christian rock's truly classic recordings. From Mac Powell's soulful vocals to the guitar duo of Brad Avery & Mark Lee, to the rhythm section of Tai Anderson (bass) & David Carr (drums), Third Day consistently hits on all cylinders throughout this album. My overall favorite song is "Thief," about the repentant thief crucifed next to Jesus. Other noteworthy songs include "Love Song," "Consuming Fire," "Blackbird," "Nothing at All," "Take My Life" & "Praise Song." Of all of today's Christian rock bands, Third Day is my overall favorite (as well as one my all-time… Read more

Time ~ Third Day
5.0 out of 5 stars A true masterpiece., July 15 2004
Of the 5 regular studio albums released by Third Day, "Time" is probably my overall favorite. 3D returned to their musical roots, and lyrically they also managed to deliver some of their most powerful songs to date. There are no filler tracks here--everything on this CD is great. My overall favorite song is "What Good," which addresses the question "what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his very soul?" Other favorites include "Took My Place," "Your Love, Oh Lord," "I've Always Loved You," "Give," "Can't Take the Pain" (voicing Peter's guilt and remorse after denying Jesus and running… Read more
Third Day: Live in Concert - The Come Together Tou&hellip DVD ~ Tai Anderson
5.0 out of 5 stars Great live show!, July 13 2004
"The Come Together Tour" is Third Day's second live DVD release, following "The Offerings Experience." Once again, the band delivers an excellent performance from Mac Powell's vocals to the guitar tandem of Mark Lee & Brad Avery to the kickin' rhythm section consisting of bassist Tai Anderson & drummer David Carr. Some great musical highlights include the opening song, "Get On," "Show Me Your Glory," "God of Wonders," Consuming Fire," "Nothing Compares" & an excellent cover of Rich Mullins' "Creed." I also love the medley featuring "Give" & "Your Love Oh Lord" with a couple of… Read more
