5.0 out of 5 stars heavy mellencamp!, Aug 21 2000
i think this guy could take a dump and make it sound like music! listen to any of his records and it's amazing to hear how effortlessly he writes one great song after another! this record was like a return to more rocking music for him after big daddy which seemed more low key and solemn. so it sounds like he cut loose and really jammed on aggresive songs like "melting pot" and "love and happiness", but there's a good balance here too with pop songs like "again tonight" and "now more than ever" which has a message of hope like many of his songs do. i would recommend any of his albums but if you're in a wild mood try this one
