The Greatest Love Story Ever Told, Jun 27 2004

I've seen the movie so many times I can recite it. But the book is so much better!! For lovers of the movie, you have to suck it up and take on 1024 pages of passion, despair, and the most amazing love story ever.

I love Scarlett and yet at the same time I want to wring her neck. I wish I had Rhett Butler - I'd treat him right!! At the end of the book, just like the end of the movie, I ended up with tears running hopelessly down my cheeks.

In addition to the adventures of a spirited young woman from Georgia, Scarlett also reveals much truth about the devastation witnessed in Georgia throughout the war and during the terrible years of Reconstruction.
