I'll admit I bought this movie for the fact that Roy Dupuis starred in it when he was younger. And I wasn't surprised. If you're thinking of buying it because of La Femme Nikita or any of Roy's other serious and dramatic roles, get ready to be surprised, pleasantly. He's very, very funny in this movie. It's all about situational comedy. Honestly, I'm not sure how he got through the filming of this movie without laughing his butt off. I was about in tears by the end! lol
I originally bought this movie (blu-ray) because Roy Dupuis was in it and the man is a god as far as I am concerned in film here in the US or in Canada, where he is very popular. I loved it. I hated it. I cried, laughed, sobbed, smiled, rejoiced, and reached despair with poor, tragic, sweet Donalda. Karine held her own against the incredible Dupuis artistically. Unlike other female cast members that Roy has been opposite, this young woman did a phenomenal job of portraying both the heights of love and the depths of despair. It really is like 'Titanic.'
