The Sexification of Em by Laura Kat
The Sexification of Em by Laura Kat
While not my usual type of novel, the cover drew me in and the story kept me reading. Covering the span of Ems life from her teenage years to motherhood, Ems journey was fun to read about and blush-inducing at times! I wasnt expecting so much of the novel to take place in her early years, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and really liked seeing her growth throughout the novel. Theres a great premise here with a fabulous lesson for women to learn. I did wish the group at the end of the novel was featured a bit more because they were so fun to read about, but it didnt take away any enjoyment from the novel. All in all, I enjoyed this fast paced, sexy and thought-provoking read.
Rescue Me, Maybe by Jackie Bouchard
Rescue Me, Maybe by Jackie Bouchard
Rescue Me, Maybe is a fabulous read full of hope and humour. Jane was someone I could completely relate to - an introverted, dog lover who needs some help finding her way. She was so easy to root for - even at her most abrasive - that I gobbled this book up in a few short days, enjoying it immensely along the way.

Jackie Bouchard tackles The Big C with grace, heartfelt emotion and a hefty dose of humour. I frequently laughed out loud, and I grinned and grimaced alongside Jane and Maybe. Oh, and what a fabulous dog Maybe is! I wanted to take her home with me, and for someone who is currently dog-less at the moment, I'm more desperate for a dog than ever!

Zoey & the Moment of Zen is such a fun, breezy, fabulous read. I gobbled this one up in a few short days and I absolutely loved it. Zoey is such a fabulous character to root for. Stuck in the past and hung up on her ex-boyfriend of a year prior, her family and friends stage an intervention in the hopes that she'll move on. Only things don't quite work out like they'd planned when Zoey takes her task of moving on further than they'd ever imagined. Pick this one up today for a fun, easy read. It's perfect for your beach vacation this winter - or, you know, making you want to hit the beach! I was salivating for sand between my toes many times during this one!
