I have been reading Maya Banks books for awhile now so was very excited to see a new title but the book itself is disappointing. It was so bad I have no intention to read the remainder of the series. The sex isn't that hot, the storyline sucks and none of the characters are ever really developed. This is just another 'trilogy' about incredibly wealthy men and their sexually submissive women. First Christian Grey, then Gideon Cross and now Gabe. Even the names are similar. Time for someone to write something a bit different, am sick of the same old, same old - even when well done and this just isn't!!!
If I would have known what I was getting into, I would never have started this series. Books 1 through 3 were interesting but books 4 and 5 are both a waste of time and money. I could care less about how the boat smells or how the wind blows through the rushes as Ive read this in the previous 3 books so I have a sense of what the lay of the land is. What I wanted was some closure. The beginning of book 5 actually goes over the same events. The difference is book 4 is from a Sam narrative, book 5 from Jon.
