I ordered this book because of all the buzz about the Einstein Coat, I wanted to make it for my 5-year old. I got the book last night, and sat down and read it cover to cover, instead of working on the multicolored cabled jumper I am doing for my daughter. One word - Wow! The tone of the book is upbeat and not condescending. The patterns tempt even an experienced knitter, and I even learned something from the Oops chapter. I plan to buy all 5 of the books in her series, and add them to my library.

I delayed getting The Lovely Bones, because the subject matter sounded so depressing. And it was, but it was also uplifting. And the end, the final sentence, gave me such a rush I started crying. DON'T PEEK AHEAD. It will mean nothing to you unless it is read in context. I'm currently reading Lucky by the same author. Also depressing subject, but just as wonderfully written as The Lovely Bones. I love this author!

So many celebrity recipies are impossible to recreate at home. But these can really be done! If you want to spend an hour putting together a one-bite amuse-bouche, which will set the stage for everything to come after, this is the book for you. And it looks terrific, the photography is beautiful, and it is a wonderful addition to a gourmet library.
