The English language changes over time. Were that to be allowed in the English of Law and especially with legal terms would be equivalent to changing the Law. That must never be. These modern Editors have taken unjustifiable liberties with the definitions of some words in these newer version of Black's. For example, historically a driver is defined, in older Black's and others, as "One employed in conducting..." This version defines as driver as "A person who steers and propels a vehicle."
