Great build up and no happy ending. I think that it could be expanded as well as deepened but a great idea / concept. Again really just a short story made to look like a book by making it hard cover , double spacing, and numerous blank numbered pages. It turned out to be a very short read and I would have much preferred to see it in a collection of short stories rather than a stand alone.

Don't buy this book unless you have read the Old Man's War series. It is an interesting insight into what it could be like with instant thought to thought communication but if you didn't already know Jane it's confusing as to where she's coming from and where she went. It is solely a companion book to a great series and the fact that it's lttle more than a slightly long "short story" made into longer book by double spacing, large print and multiple empty pages that are numbered made me wish it had been collected into a collection of stories that might have justified the price. Sorry to sound so negative.
