Masterpiece: Downton Abbey Season 2 (U.K. Edition) DVD ~ Hugh Bonneville
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing British Drama, Feb. 26 2012
I watched series 1, couldn't wait for series 2 and WOW, I wasn't disappointed. It carried over the story lines from series one beautifully, and, although the final scene was a little weak, was well worth the wait.

The historical accuracy is wonderful both in costumes and attitudes as this was a time of very great change. The acting is superb, but for my money Maggie Smith wins hands down! She shines and offers some comedic interludes balancing the more dramatic scenes. So many good actors, so many good story lines. I really can't wait for series three. Well worth viewing over and over.

Housewife 49 could have been my own grandmother and Victoria Wood suceeds - as always - in capturing the small details exactly. She is a very clever writer and actor, and I look forward to her future… Read more
