This is the best baby book I got so far. Unlike Dr. Oz's book or others, it has everything laid out simply and in concise chapters, so you aren't left fishing for info while your baby screams with a temperature. I liked the chapters on vaccinations (explains it all, when they happen, reactions and even expresses the views of those who are against vaccinations). It has a clear cut guide to illnesses and I have used the temperature chart to make sure my baby is still ok OVER and OVER. It tells you the things that you need to know and right from birth to age 1 or so. I wish it had more info and a longer chapter on food, formula and switching to solids, but no books seem to have that… Read more
This book is great for anyone who didn't find pregnancy to be the magical experience some women make it out to be. It explains a lot of the fears and sadness over being so sick and tired from the perspective of a regular woman. I had horrible morning sickness for 12 weeks and it makes you feel better about being miserable and not wanting to be pregnant (but loving your baby to be anyhow). It is not for women who don't like to share stories with other women, or women who pretend they are perfect. It also just talks to you from the viewpoint of someone wanting to share how hard it can be and is not really meant for medical information. I recommend it to anyone feeling down while pregnant.
This book had the most information of all endometriosis books I have read. It describes the symptoms really well and sets out up to date treatment options. It has a very empathetic eye towards endometriosis sufferers and made me feel not alone and like it was not 'all in my head'. This book is easy to flip through for information and not large in size, which makes it easy to read and take with you.
