i have no doubt that if i had seen this when it first came out in
1980,it would have scared the crap out of me.in the present day
though,i didn't find it scary, mainly because i have seen so many
horror/slasher movies since then.this movie is hardly graphic or
shocking at all compare to today's feature film, and even some TV
shows, for that matter.however,i will say really enjoyed the musical
score by Henry Manfredini, who must have been influenced strongly by
Bernard Herman, who scored Psycho.i believe Kevin bacon makes his big
screen debut here, but i could be wrong.the acting for this type of
movie is fine, although i have to single out… Lire la suite
for me,this sequel to the original was just slightly better, and only
because there is some suspense in this one.i don't think the first one
had any.if it did there was very little.otherwise,it's not that much
different, just a different group of people that end up getting
slaughtered.there are no acting stand outs in this one,but i get the
feeling that Amy Steel was supposed to be the next big thing.this movie
was slightly more graphic than the original, but not much.there's a bit
of nudity, and one instance of the F word being used, but that's it for
coarse language and nudity,as far as far as i can tell.for me,Friday

i remember watching this movie way back when it first came out on VHS
video.it was the first horror movie i had ever seen, and it scared the
crap out of me.i had nightmares for days.but, that was then, this is
now.this time,around,i wasn't scared.in fact i found the movie to be
boring in parts.plus, this movie was originally filmed in 3D,so it looks
gimmicky(and annoying)when viewed in 2D,since there are no 3D glasses
with it.and there is no option to view it without the 3D.(since then a
3D version has come out).this particular edition is part of the 5 disc
box set From Crystal Lake to Manhattan and features the first 8 movies
in the… Lire la suite
