even tho this movie is very dated now, with the young sixties couple, and the wife subservient to the husband and wanting nothing from her life but a baby to be fulfilled as a woman, its still worth watching. mia farrow turns in her usual fey otherworldly performance as rosemary. shes a bit too innocent and naive, but you still root for her. john cassevetes turns in a competent performance as the ambitious husband who is literally willing to sell his wife to the devil to achieve his ambitions. what makes this movie is the great cast of old time supporting actors and the movie sets. guy and rosemarys apt is to die for!!i think they shouldve shown the babys face at the end when rosemary looked… Read more

this is one of the best movies ive seen. kathy bates just walks away with the whole picture, as she does in everything ive ever seen her do.shes so over the top in this character that you find yourself wondering what the heck shell do next.james caan turns in an understated performance, giving kathy first place and room for her characted to develop into what it does.well worth watching and owning as are fried green tomatoes and delores claiborne.

a friend lent me this movie to watch. i wanted to see it but not being a big bruce willis fan did not expect much.however, i found myself absorbed from beginning to end, and the ending was a complete shock!! i was blown away!!im a big fan of m night anyway and own several of his movies. haley joel osment was a bit too cutesy as the kid who sees dead people but this movie is worth watching for the ending alone and for the peek into m nights ever creative brain...none of his movies that ive seen have ever disappointed me.
