Aire Libre - Gibrat - 01 Sursis Le by Gibrat

Graffiti World: Street Art from Five Continents by Nicholas Ganz
First of all this book is large which make for large images where details can easily be looked upon. Whereas some graffiti magazines or books can be a bit dull by depicting only basic stuff, this book features a very large collection of artists from all around the world, each with numerous examples of their work. It makes for a huge reference of various graphic styles, writing styles, illustration styles. Each artist is presented with a short contextual description which helps understanding where they all come from and how to better read their work.
And last but not least, Graffiti World is well made (goodgraffiti paper, good biding, good layout) and sold at a good price.
1,000 Type Treatments: From Script to Serif, Lette&hellip by Wilson Harvey
It's quite of a shame when a book about design is poorly designed itself. The layout is ok: each page features 1 to 3 projects and the way they use type. On top of each image you find the number of the project, name of the agency and the agency's country. But if you want the name of the fonts used (what I thought the book was all about), you must look at the index at the end. And on top of that, the index does not even present the projects by number but by agency's name which make it for a busy search. A shame since the projects presented are interesting, make for a good source of inspiration even if they lack a bit more explanations.
One of this book's main advantage is its low price.
