A well written and researched book however I totally disagree with the solution. It appears to me that the solution is not to impose minimum wage controls on the rest of the world to stop them being more competitive than the US, rather the solution is for USA to stop living way beyond it's means.

When an individual has gotten himself deep into debt to the point where default seems likely, then the way out (other than bankruptcy) is to increase income, reduce expenditure and pay down debt. This is essentially the same problem but on a much bigger scale. The solution is collect more taxes, reduce public spending and stop borrowing (USA). This is my favourite book ever on mathematics. It covers virtually every topic in mathematics but importantly is shows how the ideas evolved over time, rather than just giving formulas etc. The historical development of Mathematics makes the subject far more interesting that it might otherwise be. A must read for anyone interested in the development and application of mathematics, and destined to become a classic.

I found this an enchanting tale of a boy who follows his heart and sets out to follow his destiny. The book is written in a simple language with no deep character development or intricate descriptions etc because it is not written to be a piece of literature or to reveal the meaning of life, but a simple book with simple messages which anyone can understand.It has been written specifically so that it can be accessible to anyone. It also introduces alchemy on a basic level. I think that the author may also intend that if the ideas presented (the soul of the earth etc) find favour that it may spark off your interest in alchemy, which you may then pursue further.
