5.0 out of 5 stars Dario Argento`s best!, Feb. 5 2004
This is probably one of the most artistic film from the italian master of horror Dario Argento. The colors are so beautiful and the atmosphere keeps you into a really scary and strange tension from the beginning to end. The music is also great and it fits really well with this witches story that is not very surprising but well directed and very interesting and the murders scenes are very horrifying. If you want to buy this masterpiece, I really recommanded this special edition because it contains a 25th anniversary interview with the people who worked on this film and also the great soundtrack from the Goblins. You won`t be disappointed!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A brillant debut!!!, Dec 24 2003
I saw this movie after seeing many other films from the master of horror Dario Argento and I was a little scared about this one but surprisingly I found it very interesting for a first picture from a new director. The cold colors, the calculating plot and suspense keep you into a nail bitting tension from the start to the end. The only bad thing from the movie is probably the english traduction but this is very often from foreign motion pictures. It`s a must for the fans of Dario but also a great thriller for the others.

This is my favorite Dario Argento`s film. The colors, the suspense, the story, the camera works and the murder scenes in which you really believe to be victim or the murderer are just fabulous. It gives the idea that you are part of the story. This is probably something that is missing these days or never existed in the american style thrillers. The score from the Goblins is probably one of the best for this kind of movie and it keeps you in a very frightening mood. The acting is funny, the team Daria Nicolodi/David Hemmings is one of the best i`ve ever seen. They really seem to enjoy doing this film. Even if you are not a Dario Argento`s fans, this picture will impress you!!!!
