I purchased this iitem as I thought it would be a good book on old-fashioned afternoon tea but it is so much more. Not only does it describe tea and the how to's for a perfect cuppa as well as other tea-time beverages, but it is chock full of recipes for every manner of treat to go alongside tea. I've already purchased another for a Christmas present. Can't wait to try some of the recipes (there are beautiful pics of each)especially the crumpets (pg 78), tea cakes(pg 82), and border tart (pg 127). Highly recommend this book.

If you want a taste of simple, delicious, authentic Italian cooking as well as great stories this is the book.
I can't wait to try some of the recipes -- they are what my Zia's in Italy would prepare when we'd visit.
It is a delightful read!

Another winning booking from Biba! Biba is one of the pioneers of Italian cooking on TV -- she taught many her love of Italian food and it shines through again with her latest book Spaghetti Sauces.
Even though this book is about Spaghetti any of the sauces will do well on other cuts of pasta too! Can't wait to work my way through this delightful new book.
