Teach Yourself Visually Knitting is such a great aid to the beginning, and even, intermediate, knitter. It doesn't assume that you know all the basics already, but it is still more informative than any "Dummies" book. I love that it gives you alternatives for completing certain stitches and shows you in beautifully colorful pictures just how to 'slowly' accomplish them. I keep it with me all the time and have used it even on projects that I have done several times and already understand................it helps me refine the process. Love it!!!
