Captain Harlock: The Complete TV Series (ep.1-42) &hellip
5.0 out of 5 stars must buy!, March 6 2014
The series is amazing- even considering how old it is. A true classic. I have been a Harlock universe fan for years and have seen this series before. But this set by far is the best quality I have seen to date and I am very pleased with the overall crisp look of the episodes and subtitling. It does not state it but I would be surprised if there wasn't a bit of remastering...it's beautiful. And definitely a must buy!

The packaging however leaves much to be desired. I hate these stupid overlapping disc packages that you have to fight with to get the discs loose at the risk of damaging them. Lucky for me I transfer all my discs out of their holders and into other, safer, storage… Read more

it has been a very long time since I have read a book on this kind of level- I will admit I had bypassed it several times at the book store because I thought it was just another fairy tale wannabe knock off like so many others that have been released in this genre of so called 'modernized and fresh take fairy tales' are. It gripped me from the first page to the last and left me wanting more in a way that no book has done since... oh 1998-1999 when I first found Harry Potter. I mean I have read some good… Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Good but seems flat, Aug. 5 2013
First off this was a really hard book for me to get into. I found the concept of the world intriguing and as the story progressed this concept was well built upon. The characters for me sadly did not compliment this concept. It was almost like they were added as an afterthought to make a book happen. Their personalities are flat and two dimensional at first though they do start to grow (Very little mind you but enough to keep you reading which is a plus). The plot seemed good but without a strong character base it lost much of it's steam. I did not find it at all dark or intense or creepy or whatever. I found it interesting enough to finish but not interesting enough to make my want to buy… Read more
