While nothing will compare to the edge-of-my-seat excitment I experienced when I watched the first episode of "Brisco County" in 1993, I find the series as good, if not better, than when I first watched it. I seem to appreciate the humor and intelligence of the show more than when I first watched it. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. is intelligent without being pedantic, lighthearted without being too cornball and adventurous enough to keep one's attention. It is a shame that the series didn't catch on with more people and get renewed beyond season 1. I am from Canada and I too found my liner notes missing. Fame: The Complete First Season [Import] DVD ~ Debbie Allen

The first season of the TV show "Fame," holds up suprisingly well over 23 years after its intial appearance on TV. It doesn't appear so much as dated as nostolgic. The picture quality and sound quality are very good on the DVD. The first two seasons of the show--its time on NBC--were its best. For its susequent seasons from 1983-84 to 1986-87, it ran in first-run syndication. All that being said, I have… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars The one disappointment, Oct. 6 2004
I would have given the "American Dreams" DVD set 5/5 stars, but I only give it 4/5 because I was disappointed that there was not a commentary track for each and every episode. Otherwise an excellent DVD set of an excellent first season of a show that only seems to get better with each new season.
