1.0 out of 5 stars Im sorry arnie, Aug 17 2007
I'm sorry Arnold. I love almost all your works. The cheese and one liners in them have stayed with me throughout my life and even helped me get a girlfriend once (I'm that good? Or that bad?).

I'll go so far to say that I love bad movies (that person your heard about that likes "Streetfighter"... that was me!). I can watch them with a big smile on my face understanding how ridiculous they are. But enough is enough. I don't think anyone can take the amount of badness in one movie. If your going to do bad, do it right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reinventing, Aug 17 2007
People blast this album by citing that Beck is trying to mature. This is not a case of maturation but a natural step in the musical genius of what is "Beck". I'm surprised that many people haven't heard of this album. It's amazing. Not in a "indie" sort of way but in a top album's list sort of way. Simply put, Badlydrawnboy's debut is amazing and a feat that he has yet to reproduce.

It is an album that needs to be listened through from track one and in sequence. His talent is apparent in about every song. I can agree with criticism of tacking on needless sound bits between songs. But some of them act exceptionally well in transitioning from song to song.

These poppy songs paint beautiful pictures with metaphor laced lyrics, innovative sound and wonderful guitar playing. I haven't heard songs this rich since and long… Read more
