A story of tragedy that took on a personal sadness for me. Most of my family came to Canada before they were effected by the Holocaust, though not all were lucky but somehow survived the concentration camps. If the author developed stronger characters for Sahara's Key I believe this novel would be a prize winner. What it lacks in character development, it makes up for in reminding us, that the victims of the Holocaust should never be forgotten, even when shame cry's out in denial.
