I bought this book as I had seen Ingrid Betancourt on Oprah and when I realized there was another book pertaining to the same sort of capture by the FARC I wanted to check it out.
My heart goes out to these amazing men. To be chained, starved and live in a jungle with the worst conditions makes me admire these gentlemen. Keith S writes the book so well and you almost feel yourself walking during those torturous 24 hour marches. Knowing myself I don't think I could of done what they did. I am a great fan of Lisa Jackson. When I started reading this book I had bought it to read on the bus to and from work. But that didn't happen. I picked it up and read it straight through. Took me a day and a night.
Lisa Jackson to me gets the reader from the 1st page. I have read at least 14 of her books and every one I enjoy.
I especially liked "MALICE".
But she has a wonderful gift to write these books. It amazes me when I start reading I think now what can she put on the next page and it just gets better and better.
