Hello! My job as a public policy researcher and a drafter of statutes means that I read almost all day long. Unfortunately, much of that is about the dire realities of abuse and violence. It is nice to spend my evenings reading about the peaceful lives of Gandhi and Mother Teresa, the simple beauty of Philip Gonzalez's dog who rescues cats, honorable private detectives and loves to last a lifetime. Books also take me to lands I'd like to explore (Scotland!), enlighten me about the sensitivity of animals, teach me the lessons of our ancestors and shower me with ways in which to keep growing. I'd like to note here that my review for _A Savage Place_, by Robert B. Parker, does not appear below. It is, however, on that book's page. Happy reading!
