1.0 out of 5 stars Insane money grab, Jan. 3 2014
My daughter just received this for Christmas and I was looking forward to playing the game together with her. Unfortunately, Disney decided that we didn't spend enough money to deserve to both play at the same time in co-op mode. Yes, apparently cooperative two-player is such a revolutionary gaming innovation that I have to shell out more money above the $60 we've already sunk into this game to get more game figures. And gamers complain about DLC costs for other games? This sets such an ugly precedent that I cannot in good conscience recommend this game to anyone, regardless of any other pros the game may have. 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Read, March 5 2006
Growing up in a small town of predominantly Ukrainian settlers, and being of Ukrainian origin myself, I thought I had some idea as to my history. Boy was I wrong. A friend let me borrow this book, and I thought it might be amusing to flip through a couple of pages of it. What started as idle curious quickly turned into a marathon cover-to-cover reading session. This book was so engrossing, so well written, I recommend it to anyone who brings up the subject of Ukrainian heritage. It saddens me how little I knew of this fascinating history. This is probably the only review I'll ever give for a non-fiction book, and I cannot recommend it enough.
Bad News Tour VHS ~ Bad News
Bad News Tour VHS ~ Bad News
I swear this is one of the funniest videos of all time. My friends and I first saw Bad News Reunion on MuchMusic (Canada's MTV-esque cable station) years ago, and it still remains one of our favorite films of all time. Anyone who has ever been in a garage band will laugh till they cry at the way band life is captured by these two films. It perfectly captures the absurdity that does often happen, and while standing on the shoulders of the classic "Spinal Tap", I personally find this a more honest and hillarious sendup of life in a metal band.
I give this movie my highest recommendation.
