Wonderful, warm and funny story about loss, love and bigotry. Personally I would compare to "Water for Elephants" for a story you pickup and don't want to put down. Lent it to a friend who loved it too.

C'mon, really, no plot progression?, Aug 29 2011

Really the ratings for this book should be 2 stars for plot progression, 5 stars for characterization, 1 star for simply too many darn characters. Yes there are lots of excellent writing in this 1,000 plus page "chapter" in this very long series, but I still think feel a little conned. I may return to this series after I am certain the final book has been written and then only read that last book.

Too bad, I just loved the HBO series and the first book. The author writes very well. If he has any stand alone books, it would be worth a read.

Bought this item to vacuum the car. It has great suction for its size and picks up small bits of gravel and evergreen needles. Only small quibble is that it is difficult to maneuver into the smaller cracks between the doors and the seats. I think the addition of the accessory kit (which I didn't purchase) might solve the problem.
