When I purchased this concert I was not really sure what to expect in terms of it being different from her usual show, but I must say I was just really, really pleased. This show clearly demonstrates why "B" is above and beyond her contemporaries in the business...why she is a consummate artist. First of all, unlike many of those contemporaries, she really can SING. And, do it while dancing (a lot... not just spinning around or stepping here and there to the music) without lip syncing. Thank goodness for having to jog while singing in those early years! The jazzy, bluesy, introduction of the first song...A Good Thing...alerts to the intimacy of the experience to come. When I hear it, I feel as if I am in a very intimate music venue, and as Gino and company perform, my surroundings simply disappear as I become caught up in his artistic world. The tune is a sleek, seductive, soulful, siren song, and I just love it. The acoustic piano and horn arrangements are exquisite complement. The composition is one of my favorites… Read more
